Why Wawa Wednesday

It started as a silly mental anchor.

Wednesday is the hardest day of the week. Not Monday — Monday has momentum. Not Friday — Friday has a finish line. Wednesday just sits there. So a few years ago I started making it a thing: Wawa Wednesday. The day might be rough, but at least there's a Wawa run in it.

I said it enough times that it stuck. Then I started building 100 Days of Summer — a Drexel research study about whether AI-personalized coaching actually moves the needle on fitness and wellness goals. Ambassador training landed on a Wednesday. Day 100 of the study lands on October 21, 2026. A Wednesday.

The $200 prize is a Wawa gift card. Obviously.

The Challenge

100 days. One goal. You pick it.

100 Days of Summer is a Drexel doctoral research study investigating whether AI-personalized coaching improves how people stick to health and fitness goals. You bring the goal — exercise, nutrition, sleep, whatever you're actually working on. The study provides the structure and the coaching app.

Here's what it looks like: a 10-day training ramp where you get comfortable with the app, followed by 90 days of daily habit logging and weekly check-ins. Two short surveys — one when you start, one when you finish, each about 10–15 minutes. That's it.

Who this is for: Adults 18+, working on a fitness or wellness goal, willing to use an app daily for 100 days, and not currently in an outside personal training or coaching relationship.

What you get: Free access to the coaching program. A personalized longitudinal analysis report when you complete the study. And if you finish and complete the post-study survey, you're entered to win the $200 Wawa gift card.

How It Works

Four steps. The first one takes five minutes.

1

Take the free intake

Answer a few questions about yourself and your goal. The AI generates a personalized wellness snapshot on the spot. Takes about 5 minutes. Free, no account required.

2

Decide if you're in

If you want to join the study, you'll complete a short digital consent form and install The Spark app. This is the step where you become a participant — everything before it is just the intake.

3

100 days of showing up

Log your habits daily. Write in the journal when something is worth noting. Check in weekly. The app adapts — you get personalized nudges based on your actual data, not a generic program.

4

Finish strong

Complete the post-study survey on Day 100. Get your longitudinal analysis report — a real look at what happened over 100 days based on everything you logged. And enter the drawing for the gift card.
